Welcome
Aspiring Adventures is about living the life and running the trips we aspired to when we became adventure guides: authentic, a little bit off the beaten path, flexible and intimate.
On Aspiring trips we hike, bike, kayak, swim, dive, eat, drink, dance, and play our way through an eclectic range of destinations, engaging with the environment, the culture, local people and daily life, as well as the headline attractions. We’re about putting you in the picture, not looking at it through a bus window.
People of all ages and levels of physical ability come on holiday with us. Many have travelled extensively but never joined a group tour before. If you travel to get inside a place, beyond the cultural clichés and postcard moments, and if you’re willing to risk stepping outside your comfort zone now and then, our tours are for you.
About Peru
As adventure tour people, we can’t help but love Peru to extremes; it offers a diversity of adventure travel opportunities that defies belief.
Hiking the Inca trail and Machu Picchu will never go out of style, but there’s so much more to Peru in general and Cusco in particular. High and low jungle, rafting and biking, world-class cuisine, trekking to undisturbed ruins, authentic cultural interchange throwing pots and chewing coca with Quechua-speaking locals: all within surprisingly easy reach of the must-see sights.

Wow! It's hard to express how amazing our trip in Peru was! The festival at Paucartambo is sensational - we'll remember that experience for a long time to come! Thanks Steve and Katy for putting everything together - we simply couldn't have done it without you.

It wasn't just another interesting trip to another country. I can't forget New Zealand because there I had the chance to experience kiwi life and to share it with all the great people I met during my southern island adventure. Among them was Steve: speaking of him simply as a reliable guide wouldn't pay justice. So, if like me, you're going to meet him somewhere around the world just smile: you have found a good friend.
