The trip in detail

Where old and new worlds collide, in the crowded streets around Cusco’s central market, there are many random things to see, and we have to choose just some – so please, let us know what interests you and we’ll be delighted to incorporate it as we go along!

The tour generally includes cobbled backstreet strolls, hole-in-the-wall outlets for live and cooked guinea pig, spells, flowers, crazy soups and lots more; traditional crafts and amazing hyper-modern religious art, and a visit to an artesan's workshop.

We always finish up with a massive traditional lunch at a local favourite restaurant (one Katy left out of the Lonely Planet guide because we don’t want to share it with too many tourists!)

Luis, Aspiring Adventures Peru guide, says

Introducing our guests to the ladies I buy fruit from at the market doesn’t feel like work, it’s more like a morning with friends. I love that with Aspiring we get to share our normal life, not just the famous things everybody goes to.
