Flying to and from Myanmar is easy!
There are three international airports in Myanmar: Yangon (Rangoon – RGN), Mandalay (MDL) and Nay Pyi Taw (NYT).
Our trip starts in Yangon and ends in Mandalay, so you need to fly in to Yangon and out of Mandalay.
There are currently no direct flights to Myanmar from outside Asia, but there are many flights available, on many airlines, connecting through Hong Kong, Bankgok, Hanoi, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur and other hubs.
We find aggregator websites like Skyscanner and kayak are a great place to start looking. You can identify the flights you want here, then book it direct on the airline’s website – this usually costs the same and booking direct makes communications easier if you happen to want to make any changes to your ticket.
