Myanmar is close to the equator and therefore has a tropical monsoon climate.
This breaks down into three seasons:
Cool and dry: November to February
Hot and dry: March to May
Rainy: June to October
We’re scheduling trips for these times of year:
February offers the best weather and is peak tourist season. As Myanmar is not heavily touristed, being there in peak season is all good.
June and July are the beginning of the rainy season and you can expect some rain, but not full days of it. Meanwhile the air is cool and fresh and it’s a great time to be out and about exploring.
Balloon flights over Bagan
This is perhaps Myanmar’s most iconic tourist experience. It is not included in the trip but we can help you arrange it – it costs around US$400pp.
Note well, the balloons only fly in the months of October to March, so if you want to include this on your trip with us, you’ll want to join our February trip!
